To empower parents with individualized strategies that can be implemented at home in a manner that is complimentary to whichever treatment that their child is receiving from professionals, so that they become more autonomous in the support that their children may require in each challenging situation.

Dr. Kwan Bruhl

Dr. Bruhl is a clinical psychologist with a PhD, from the University of Lyon, France and a cognitive behaviour psychotherapist. She has more than 15 years of clinical experience working with children and adolescents.

She recently developed the “Situated Behaviour Intervention Method” (SBI-Method). This is aimed at enhancing good communication between parents and children to minimise tantrums, emotional meltdowns, anxiety and avoidance behaviours.

Dr. Bruhl specialises in Attention Deficit & Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Specific Learning Disorders and Anxiety-Related Disorders in children and adolescents. She is a trained practitioner in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and structured behaviour interventions based on cognitive behaviour therapy.​

A licensed psychologist in Belgium and France, she currently consults in French and English at the Community Help Service in Brussels and in her private practice in Waterloo – Belgium.

Her clinical work includes:

  • Psycho-educational assessments in English and French for children and adolescents.

  • Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT).

  • Psycho-pedagogical therapy for children with learning problems.
